Decking

Decks are called “outdoor rooms” for good reason. A well planned deck adds the area of another room to your Sydney house for casual living and entertaining in all seasons.

Designing your deck with us is easy

Over 30 years, Buildwyse Constructions has built hundreds of decks all over Sydney, both open and covered. Designing and building your deck with Buildwyse is a straightforward process. Our proprietor Scott Wellings will visit your home, measure and inspect where the deck is to be built. He will discuss and sketch the design with you, including the placement of steps and any balustrading, with both safety and your budget in mind.

Building your deck

When an experienced deck builder from Buildwyse Constructions can guide you through the whole process from design concept to completion, it’s so much easier than you might think to expand your enjoyment of your home and garden – at a price you can afford. During the build, Scott will be onsite to co-ordinate his team of tradespeople to ensure that what you have planned together is what you get.

Deck balustrades can complement any style of home. The strong, tailored lines of Californian Bungalows look particularly attractive with decks. For modern homes, a current designer trend is for 10–12mm frameless glass balustrade with stainless steel patch fittings. This is excellent for opening up uninterrupted views and sight lines to your lawns and garden.

Most of our Sydney decks are built in wood. Other composite decks are tiled, over a floor of solid 15mm compressed cement sheet and a waterproof membrane. We use only top-quality materials so that a Buildwyse deck will be visually appealing, sturdy, durable and safe.

Case study

Integrating a new back yard pool with sleek wooden decking

We built this deck, glass balustrading and side fencing around a pool in Marrickville as it was being completed. We also engaged our preferred landscaper to design and plant the colourful succulent garden.
